Twitter is a great tool for expression—of excitement, pride, anger, and everything in between. It also provides a platform for sharing in grief. Over the last couple of days, many have used it as such, to share their thoughts, prayers, and emotions regarding Lou Reed, the legendary figure of rock and roll who passed away on Sunday, October 27.
Reed, best known as the front-man of The Velvet Underground—but whom has also done a plethora of solo work including the famous song, "Walk on the Wild Side"—was 71 years old. The cause of death has not yet been officially released, but according to Reed's literary agent, via a tweet from the Associated Press, it was due to liver related-illness (he'd suffered liver problems that culminated in a transplant surgery in June).
