Miley Cyrus releases cover art to 'Wrecking Ball,' a song rumored to be about Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus is moving past her twerk-tastic MTV Video Music Awards performance and is stripping down once again for the cover art for her new single, “Wrecking Ball.”

Wearing short shorts and a tiny white top and boots, Cyrus is seen sitting on top of a wrecking ball with her head tilted back. Cyrus first showed off the sexy photo on Twitter, Thursday.

The audio to the single was released earlier this week, KPopStarz reports, noting that this song is a far cry from her latest hit “We Can’t Stop.”

The song is said to be a song about her tumultuous relationship with actor Liam Hemsworth. The pair have been rumored to split and reconnect several times since announcing their engagement in May 2012. Hollywood Life reports that Cyrus ultra-sexy performance where she grinded up against Robin Thicke and gyrated against a foam finger could be the driving force behind their final split.

The official music video for “Wrecking Ball” is slated for release Monday.
