Cote de Pablo sent shockwaves through the NCIS community when she announced that she would not return to the series. Now, Pablo’s longtime co-star and onscreen boss Mark Harmon has broken his silence about losing the iconic character of Ziva on the hit series.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Harmon sat down with Arsenio Hall where he discussed Pablo decision to exit the series.
“We've had a lot of changes, and we've managed to get better with the changes both in front of the camera and behind the camera," he explained. "We have another change this year, with Cote leaving, it's up to this highly professional group to use that as a springboard, to improve and stay No. 1."
NCIS’ season premiere airs September 24. The second episode will focus more of Ziva when Michael Weatherly’s character Tony travels to Israel in the hopes of finding his longtime companion.
