I’m a sucker for the VMA’s and even before the preshow, I’m scowering the internet, scoping out the outfits of the 2013 VMA’s and nothing screams a fashion like the red carpet. I’m always looking for the hottest fashion, but my mission this year is a little different. This VMA season, I’m on the prowl for the worst VMA outfits. So I guess I need to buckle down, grab some popcorn and start the judging. Here are my choices for the worst 2013 VMA outfits.
A first big no no of the red carpet. If you’re going to wear a denim vest (guys!) I suggest making sure that that your denim vest doesn’t have long, wife sleeves with matching white pants. Denim isn’t cute, except for pants.
Ski hats are also a fashion don’t. It’s the middle of summer and it’s not that cold in New York.
Little Wayne. Even after suffering a few seizures, he’s back in action on the red carpet. With his long, dreads, his pants and ill matching tee shirts are not attractive, especially if the screaming fans may think so. I do believe they were black pants with white paisleys.
Katy Perry striked a pose wearing a leopard dress with a long slit up the side and gold leaves on the shoulders and chest area. Too much leopard print in one small amount of time. It was not the greatest look that made its way on the carpet. I will however, give her credit for her high pony tail. Then again, she lost all my respect with her gold grill in her mouth. I once wore braces, but instead I got made fun of, just like Ms. Perry.
But by far, the worst outfit of the night is:
Miley Cyrus. After her spice girl replicated hair and bedazzles all black outfit, she still was able to shock more people than Lady Gaga. Not only was her red carpet outfit terrible, her performance outfits consisted of a one piece leotard with a giant mouse face and a skin colored bathing suit that stood out as she grinded on Robin Thicke.
