The evening of March 2, 2014 will be a night of audience dance parties and comedy now that Ellen DeGeneres has officially signed on to host the 2014 Oscars ceremony. This will be DeGeneres’s second time hosting the ceremony since her Emmy nominated performance in the 79th Academy Awards.

The U.S. State Department has issued a worldwide travel alert for Americans traveling in the Middle East and North Africa. The department also advises travelers sign up with the Department of State's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) system, which allows embassy or consulate members to contact travelers in case of emergency.

Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader, Megan Welter, is being held in custody for allegedly beating her boyfriend of six months. Welter who was recently praised for her Iraq War Veteran status, reportedly told police a fight between her and her boyfriend ensued after a night of drinking in which she found a text he sent an old girlfriend.

Avengers Actor, Chris Evans will make his directorial debut with the indie project, 1:30 Train. The film is expected to be a romance surrounding the individual struggles of a couple living in Manhattan. Evans will also star in the film and begin working on it after the Captain America sequel wraps.

Simpson sisters, Jessica and Ashlee are working together on Jessica’s new Bohemian inspired fall line. Little sis, Ashlee will be the face of the new line, “featuring various fall outfits, including chunky sweaters, floral dresses, and printed tights.” Jessica’s line can be found in department stores this fall.
