The Clippers have opted to not sign Lamar Odom following allegations of drug abuse, leaving the NBA star a free agent.
According to TMZ, team officials wanted to sign Odom on following a successful season, but were unable to reach him. Shortly thereafter, reports that Odom was struggling with drug abuse, specifically crack cocaine; cause the team management to change their minds on bringing Odom on to their roster.
The Clippers have since signed on former Lakers forward Antawn Jamison to fill their roster.
Odom’s personal life is in a downward spiral. As we previously reported, Odom and his reality star wife Khloe Kardashian-Odom are currently separated due to his drug abuse.
The allegations of drug abuse followed several reports that the NBA star was unfaithful to Khloe, reports that have since been proven false.
Previous reports from TMZ suggest that Odom’s drug habit may stem from his time on the Dallas Mavericks and well into his time with the Lakers.
