‘Under the Dome’ recap- “Imperfect Circles”

In this episode of Under the Dome, Big Jim takes matters into his own hands when he feels his authority slipping away, and the dome displays its power when a life is taken just as a newborn arrives.

This episode starts off with Joe and Norrie fooling around in his room. They decide that they will try to experiment with the dome and figure out a way to communicate with it. Meanwhile, Big Jim and Ollie are in a major power struggle. Ollie has taken control of all of Big Jim’s propane. In the final minutes of the episode, Big Jim heads over to the lot where the propane is stored and shoots Ollie’s handler’s truck causing a massive explosion.

In the main plot of the episode, Joe and Norrie search for the center of the dome. They walk around and find a “nucleus” that controls the dome. The device is also surrounded by a dome that prevents people from tampering with it. When Norrie touches it, she sees her mom in the forest. This prompts Norrie to return to her mom.

The Dundee brothers are on the run for killing Rose and attempting to rape Angie. Junior and Linda are chasing the two down. The two brothers create a blockade with old trash cans and debris to stop drivers in their tracks. They happen to stop Julia who is taking a pregnant woman to the clinic to give birth. Barbie tracks them from a gas station and stopped them from ciphering gasoline out of Julia’s car. Barbie tells Julia that the clinic is closed and so they take the woman to Alice. Alice brings the kid into world but she dies in the end of the episode from a heart attack.

Also, Angie and Ben clean up Rose’s bar and we learn that Big Jim owns it. The episode wraps with Alice’s death and Big Jim’s plot for power.

This episode was okay but last week’s episode was much better. I want to know what will happen with the “nucleus” Joe and Norrie found. I am also curious about what other events will happen in this season. Under the Dome airs on CBS.
