Katy Perry announces new album 'Prism'

Katy Perry announced her fourth album in a rather unconventional way.

Yesterday, the singer sent out a gold semi with the album details into the streets of LA. According to Rolling Stone, "LA is just the first stop on the map." She also tweeted, "Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture, and I'll RT you."

The album follows the chart-topping Teenage Dream album that had five No. 1 singles. According to CNN Marquee Blog, Prism will take off from Teenage Dream with many of the same collaborators such as Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Bonnie McKee, and Greg Wells.

The much-awaited album will drop on October 22, 2013.

That is not all the KP news we have this week. It was revealed that she sang back up on Britney Spear's new song "Ooh La La" featured on Smurfs 2, according to Daily News. However, they had yet to meet until the movie's premiere.

Perry, 28, also denied rumors of her and Robert Pattinson having a fling. In an Elle U.K. interview, Perry stated, ""I sent her [Stewart] a text message saying, 'I know you've seen all this stuff, but you know I would never disrespect you. I'm not that person. I'm just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of tits.'"

We are excited to see what else Katy Perry has in store for us this fall!
