Sherri Shepherd announced on the Tom Joyner Morning Show that she and husband Lamar Sally have finally found a surrogate to carry their child.
"We found a drama-free uterus," The View host announced on the air this morning, The Huffington Post reports. "We found a girl that didn't have any drama in her life. We're putting in our egg and Sal's sperm and we'll let you know how it progresses."
Shepherd has been candid about her fertility struggles in the past, offering incentives to audience members during an appearance on The Rachel Ray Show last October.
"I'll give you a free weave and a Hyundai for a year," the talk show host joked.
According to BET News Shepherd proceeded to joke that she was too advanced in age to carry her second child.
"I don’t know how we’re going to have this baby because I’m in my forties and I can’t even remember my first son's name,” Shepherd said. “But I'm going to have another baby because I’m feeling good."
Shepherd has an 8-year-old son, Jeffrey.
