The sixth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took place in Liberty State Park on Saturday. Matthew McConaughey co-hosted the highly-anticipated event Veuve Clicquot U.S. President Vanessa Kay, Delfina Blaquier and Blaquier’s husband, polo player Nacho Figueras.
More than 7,000 attended the afternoon social event, which featured a polo match, high fashion, and the necessary Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Rosé, according to the Sacramento Bee.
This year, the event sponsored Liberty State Park, which was heavily damaged in Hurricane Sandy last October. While the event benefited the park, Veuve Clicquot also re-planted and landscaped a large part of it.
The event also sponsored the McConaugheys’ “just keep livin” foundation, which is dedicated to empowering adolescents to lead active, healthy lives, according to the Wall Street Journal
Guests included McConaughey’s wife Camila Alves McConaughey, Ashley Olsen (pictured), Rosario Dawson, Theophilius London, Alek Wek, Tiffani Thiessen, Lo Bosworth, Tika Sumpter, Dree Hemingway, Julia Restoin-Roitfield, and cofounders of fashion line Cushnie et Ochs Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs.
