Ja Rule released from federal prison

Earlier today Rapper Ja Rule was released from the Ray Brook Federal Prison in New York after serving two years in jail for tax evasion and illegal weapon possession charges.

TMZ.com

Ja Rule's wife, Aisha Murray Atkins, picked up her hubby around 10 a.m this morning, according to UPI.com. Additionally, UPI.com noted that Ja Rule will be in home confinement until July 28.

Back in 2010, Ja Rule was charged and plead guilty to illegal possession of a weapon, which served him two months in jail. He was then sentenced to 28 months in jail for tax evasion back in 2011, according to TMZ. Ja Rule refused to pay more than $3 million of his taxes.

As of right now, Ja Rule will remain in home confinement until mid July with the company of his wife and three children.

While he was in jail, Ja Rule released his album called Pain is Love 2. Looks like Ja Rule wasted no time working on his music career while incarcerated.
