Amanda Bynes was not sexually assaulted, NYPD says

The New York City Police Department said that the officer who arrested Amanda Bynes did not sexually assault her, contrary to her Twitter claims.

In a statement to E! News, Deputy Commissioner Paul J. Browne said that an internal investigation on Thursday night’s arrest found that there was no wrongdoing on the police’s part.

“NYPD Internal Affairs investigators have found no evidence to corroborate Ms. Bynes' allegations,” the statement reads. “To the contrary, a credible civilian witness who was with the officers throughout told investigators that none touched Ms. Bynes inappropriately or otherwise engaged in misconduct at any time.”

Since her arrest on Thursday night after she allegedly threw a bong out a window, Bynes has not stopped tweeting. She’s badmouthed Rihanna for seemingly no reason and later claimed those tweets were fake. She said that she’s going to sue her family for stealing money from her and said that everything they tell the press are lies.

While she said she wouldn’t say anything more about the arrest, on Monday, she sent out another long Tweet slamming the police and telling them to expect a lawsuit.

“For once and for all, this is the last thing I'll say about the mistaken arrest,” she wrote. “I'm suing NYPD for illegally entering my apartment, lying about drugs on me and lying about me tampering with non existent drug paraphernalia, then I'm suing for being put into a mental hospital against my will, then locked up overnight for coming home after a facial and working out with my trainer like the good girl that I am.”

In the same message, she claimed that she is going to be a rapper and that she’s “allergic” to alcohol and drugs, but she can smoke tobacco.

She’s yet to respond to the NYPD’s statement that they did nothing wrong.
