‘Orphan Black’ recap- “Entangled Bank”

In this episode entitled “Entangled Bank”, the story revolves around Sarah's actions. The Orphans are fighting against each other as Sarah tries to plan her next move. Paul also tries desperately to cover up Sarah's existence. Finally, Alison takes vengeance on her suspected monitor, which will cost her everything.

The episode starts with Allison packing up and leaving. Aynesley is watching the house because Allison and Donnie were at a marriage retreat. Allison really suspects Aynesley and does not trust her at all. She also wants to divorces Donnie. So when she goes to coach a kids sporting event, Allison sleeps with Aynesley’s husband, Chad, in a van. This happens after they smoke a little pot. When Allison returns home Aynesley confronts her and the two come to blows in the street. Allison decides to go to Felix’s place afterwards.

With the next plot, Art and his partner, Angela Deangelis goes to Mrs. S house. Right after we see Beth/Sarah at the police precinct. They ask her rather or not she has a twin or a sister. She lies, of course. The two cops then go back to the morgue to see the dead body. The morgue attendant, who is sleeping with Felix, sends the two cops to his home. Art and his partner go to Felix’s place and art figures out that Felix is the same guy that called him in last episode.

The third plot focused on Cosima. She is breaking ties with Sarah and the other clones because she was wrong about Olivier. We are led to believe that Delphine is developing feelings for Cosima. These feelings come to a point when Delphine and Cosima kiss. That eventually leads to Cosima and Delphine having sex. When Cosima leaves out to get ice cream, Delphine snoops around Cosima’s apartment to look for clues. Then she finds out everything including the names of the other clones and Kira. Delphine informs Dr. Leekie.

In the fourth plot, Paul confronts Olivier in a hospital room. Paul wants to clear Sarah’s name. So he tells Olivier to just tell Dr. Leekie about Helena. When Dr. Leekie comes, Olivier plays along. This allows Paul to be on good terms with Dr. Leekie. We see the hints of their future partnership. Dr. Leekie gets the doctor in the hospital room to murder Olivier. Paul believes he is free but Delphine tells Leekie about Sarah.

In the final story-line, Sarah tells Mrs. S that there are clones of her running around. She brings Allison along because the morgue attendant tells Felix that Art is coming. The most important thing about this is Kira. Helena comes over Mrs. S house and takes Kira. Sarah runs down the streets to find her. When Kira tries to cross an intersection, she gets hit by a car.

This was a fantastic episode. The world in which these characters live has imploded onto itself. The characters are suffering the consequences of their lying and secrecy like real people do. Oddly enough this episode had very little sci-fi in it. Orphan Black airs on BBC. Here is a new trailer for the next episode:
