Helen Mirren won best actress at Olivier Awards (Video)

Helen Mirren was awarded best actress at the Olivier Awards on Sunday. Mirren, 67, was honored for her role of Queen Elizabeth II in The Audience.

Helen Mirren also won an Academy Award in 2007 for The Queen. The Olivier Awards were founded in 1976. The Olivier Awards honor achievements in London plays, musicals, dance and opera.

According to CBS News, Richard McCabe, a co-star in The Audience, said of Mirren, "It's important as an actor to be absolutely fearless, and she is..."

According to The Independent, he also said, “She’s an absolute joy, she’s a truly great actress.” Richard McCabe won supporting actor for playing Prime Minister Harold Wilson.

Mirren said that it was, in actuality, 87-year-old Elizabeth who deserved an award. She remarked that "for the most consistent and committed performance of the 20th century, and probably the 21st century."
