Kellan Lutz has responded to PETA's complaints about the use of wolves in cages at the Los Angeles premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 and revealed that the animals were treated well.
PETA had an issue with how the wolves were used for the premiere. The wolves represented the wolves in the movie but PETA did not like the idea and released a statement on Monday.
"Didn't it dawn on the Twilight event organizers that real wolves do not belong at a party with blaring music and flashing lights?" a PETA spokeswoman told TheWrap.
Lutz, who is an animal rights activist and appeared in ad campaigns for PETA, had no problem speaking out about their claims.
"I would love to know where the wolves came from. If those are someone's personal pets and they're trained that way, then to each their own to do what they want. It's not like they took them out of the wild," he said to The Huffington Post.
"Not to step on PETA's shoes or anything, but they were in a loving environment, they were treated very well -- I don't think we can point fingers at anyone for having a collar on too tight or anything like that. Those wolves were so sweet and I think it was a good addition," Lutz continued.
