Joseph Gordon-Levitt to release 'The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 2'

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be releasing The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 2, the second book containing a compilation of online collaborations from his online collaborative production company called hitRECord.

The actor released The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 1 last year and, because of its popularity, Gordon-Levitt decided to release another collection of moving stories, reports Entertainment Weekly.

"First of all, there are twice as many stories. The community’s grown a lot on the level of artistry and professionalism, and the contribution has really risen this year. That just makes it all the more fun to work on these collaborative projects," he told The Daily Beast about how this volume differs from the first.

Gordon-Levitt received 14,946 stories for the book and had to narrow it down to just 62 entries. To do that they tried to make sure each one they chose had a beginning, a middle and an end. He also hoped they said something "whether that something is funny, sad, or derogative."

When Entertainment Weekly asked the actor what his favorite entry was from Volume 2 he said, "Man, there are so many. There’s one that I really like that I’ve been actually thinking about how we could try to perform it on stage. It’s really quick. It just says, 'Tell no one about this cape,' and it’s got a picture of someone with a towel around their back acting like a superhero."

"I just love that because we all, I at least, I love to dress up in private and freak the f— out. And no one needs to know the weird character that I become in the privacy of my own home," Gordon-Levitt continued.

The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 2 is available now on Amazon.com and you can check out audience renditions of "Tell no one about this cape" at Duke University below.
