Learn in this interview what this film and TV actor would be doing if he chose a different career, and discover his proudest achievement.

DM) I once read that you said, "I try not to classify myself. I try to do as many diverse roles as possible." Would you prefer to follow this career path or to have one very successful role, which however might type, cast you?

BC) I'd much prefer to follow the former line of thinking. I'd hate to make decisions strictly based on that damned "career" thing.

DM) Of all the roles you've done, disregarding the financial/popular success of the role, which has been your favorite to do, acting-wise?

BC) I enjoyed "Brisco" the best because I had a chance to "live" with the character for the better part of a year. When that happens, you get very comfortable with it and it actually becomes more fun as long as it's written well.

DM) If you weren't acting, what career would you be doing?

BC) I'd be a phony park ranger or something. I absolutely love the great outdoors.

DM) You've mentioned the pride you have towards your family a number of times. Do you ever regret the hectic lifestyle/career you have in that it probably takes away from your family?

BC) Yes, but such is the circus life of a performer. I tend to think that they have somewhat adjusted to my schedule by now. The downside is that I'm gone a lot, but the upside is that when I'm with them...I'm WITH them 100%.

DM) Is there any role that you didn't get that you wished you had?

BC) I don't care to keep score and allow that to determine my success or failure. I believe that things happen or don't happen for a reason, so it really has no lasting effect on me.

DM) Outside of acting, what's the one thing you've done that you're most proud of?

BC) Aside from two cool kids, I survived a 5-day hike in Escalante, Utah.

DM) Do you regret that fans and critics only seem to focus on your two cult classics (Brisco Country and Evil Dead) when you've done so much work in other areas?

BC) What can you do (it's all based on what they watch) I can't control the fact that some folks don't have cable or that a show doesn't get beyond the US. I've been working on a third cult thing: "Herc" and "Xena."

DM) What do you feel is different about acting in television versus movies?

BC) Movies are cool because they tend to tell more intense stories and can take time to do it right, but they are sooooo sloooooow! TV isn't as textured, but man, you get a lot of work done...

DM) Most of your work has been comedic or action. Is there any genre you prefer or would like to try?

BC) No, I've done drama as well and I can't dance or sing, so that pretty much covers it.

DM) Is there anything that you do in your life off the screen that would surprise your fans?

BC) Yeah, I go to church sometimes!
